Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to

  • identify variables that impact health-seeking behavior in patients with asthma and understand how various behaviors influence asthma outcomes,

  • identify elements of the clinical environment that influence asthma outcomes and the quality of care, and

  • discuss how establishing continuity of care by emergency department staff may impact asthma outcomes
